Founder & Productized Service

My own venture: a done-for-you client system for salons, spas, and studios. One flagship package covers website, missed-call text-back, review generation, lead follow-up, and booking. Behind the brand sits real infrastructure: an automated client provisioning pipeline, an onboarding portal, and an outreach CRM, all of which I designed and built.

Why this business exists

Appointment-based beauty and wellness businesses lose clients in the gaps: missed calls that never get a text back, reviews that never get requested, leads that never get a follow-up. Owners know this is happening but have no time to fix it. Agencies sell them marketing; nobody sells them an operating system.

The gap I saw:

  • Around 22% of small business calls go unanswered, and most clients book with the first business that responds
  • Salon and spa owners are with clients all day, so responding fast is structurally impossible without automation
  • Existing tools are self-serve software that owners have to configure themselves, which they never do
  • My work with NR Skin proved the model: build the system for them, run it for them, charge monthly

What I built

  • Productized offer design: Text-Back Starter at $97/mo as the entry wedge, the full SiteMason System at $297/mo as the flagship, add-ons scoped on a call
  • Missed Call Text-Back product: a missed call triggers an automatic SMS in under 60 seconds from a dedicated local number, with carrier compliance (A2P registration) handled per client
  • Automated client provisioning pipeline: a new client signup scaffolds their entire instance end to end, including phone number purchase, configuration, subdomain, SSL, and service startup, with rollback on failure
  • Client onboarding portal: tiered "Blueprint" intake that collects exactly what each plan needs, unlocks after Stripe payment, and triggers provisioning on submit
  • Outreach CRM: pipeline stages from New Lead to Closed Won, click-to-call, industry filters, and a seeded list of 70+ qualified prospects
  • Marketing site: product pages for each feature, honest-claims copy, demo phone line, and Book a Call as the single conversion path
  • Automated monthly client reports: missed calls recovered, bookings, and reviews, emailed to each client on the first of the month

How missed-call recovery works

A client calls the business and nobody answersOwner is mid-appointment. The call would normally go to voicemail and be lost.
The missed call forwards to a dedicated local numberConditional forwarding, set up once with a 60-second phone code. No number changes.
An automatic text goes out in under 60 secondsPersonalized to the business, with booking link. Compliance language included.
The conversation lands in the owner's lead inboxOwner replies when free. The client already got a response, so they haven't called a competitor.
Every recovered lead is tracked and reported monthlyOwners see exactly what the system caught that they would have lost.

How I approached it

  • Started from a working prototype: the NR Skin platform proved owners will pay for operations, not marketing
  • Studied the best productized-service businesses in adjacent verticals and adapted their playbook to a spa-elegant brand voice, because the aesthetic is the targeting
  • Priced deliberately: a $97 wedge product that is easy to say yes to, one $297 flagship instead of a confusing tier grid, and add-ons scoped on a call
  • Automated everything that scales and kept humans in everything that sells: provisioning is fully automated, but every sale happens on a call
  • Wrote honest-claims copy throughout: no fabricated testimonials, no promises about integrations that vary by booking platform
  • Used AI-assisted development for the entire stack, from the marketing site to the provisioning pipeline to the CRM
